Here's hoping that there will be more frequent trips through Stampede (Pass).  There is so much history that seems to have just "dissolved" with the passage of time. The more I learn about the area, the more enthused I become. ... C.

Both my wife and I were privileged to ride the 4449 during the 2 day Stampede Pass excursion over last Memorial Day weekend. What a trip! The sight and sound of the locomotive hurtling down the rail did my heart good. I'm not sure that it's possible to get too much. We want to extend our gratitude to all the unseen effort that obviously went into the preparation and logistics for the trip. ... P.E.
