Longing for more great photos of the SP4449? Here are some that previous passengers have shared! As you can see, the engine has boasted three different color schemes during her lifetime. The original daylight colors were red, orange, and black. When the SP4449 was restored during the 1970s she served for two years celebrating America's bicentenial as the American Freedom Train, and was painted red, white, and blue. She also wore a more traditional black for a short period. The engine has now been returned to the original daylight color scheme, the the joy and satisfaction of most of her fans.
